I rented 2 condos, one in Mamitas and the other one in Aldea Thai. Mamitas was great, Aldea Thai not so much. We went in a big group and some stayed at Mamitas and some at Aldea Thai. I can say that Aldea Thai is extremely strict and they do not accomodate with their guest. They made such a big deal to let us visit our friends its ridiculous. Do not spend your money at Aldea Thai, rent Mamitas or another place, everything is super close anyway, theres no difference but a couple feet more away from the beach. Also, Aldea Thai had a plumbing problem and they took over 24 hours to fix it and when you have a penthouse with 6 people in it and you pay so much to stay there its just not acceptable. Vimex is great, aldea thai are the ones with horrible service, do not stay there. They also charged me a towel at checkout because they said it was too dirty and couldnt re-use it. I mean i would totally understand if it was a wine stain or something like that.. But it wasnt, so they just made me pay for it. The Mamitas condo is a total go! People in that complex are nice, everything is super clean, no restricted entrance if you want to invite people and its pretty. Aldea Thai cuts your electricity if you make to much noise, you just dont want to risk there and stay with them. With Playa del Carmens heat, turning off the electricity to their guest should be illegal. Overall our visit was great, we were never really at the condos since they are so great located in the heart of playa del carmen. You are literally 20'steps away from the beach and 20 from downtown.

**Short term rentals include 20 kwh of electricity daily. Each extra kwh has a price of $3.5 pesos (around 0.30 cents). Inquire about our Special monthly rates and discounts available during specified seasons.
For long-term stays (28 nights and more) Electricity is not included. Upon arrival at the condo and during check-in, a picture of the electricity meter will be taken and upon departure, at check-out, another picture will be taken to verify the consumption during the stay. The guests will then pay accordingly for the usage.
For long-term stays (28 nights or more) guests will be charged an extra fee of $30 usd per week for mandatory mid-week cleanings. This will be scheduled with the guests during their stay.
Deposits: We ask for a 50% of the rental price to reserve your rental unit, then the other 50% should be paid one month prior to your arrival. If you are arriving in less than 30 days at the time of booking, we require the full payment of the rental unit price.
Security deposit: You will be asked for a security deposit upon your arrival which may be handled in cash (USD or MXN)
Cancellations and refunds: If cancelled 60 days prior to arrival, you will get a 100% refund (minus $50 USD handling fee). If cancelled 30 days prior to arrival, you get a 50% refund (minus $50 USD handling fee). No refunds will be given for cancellations within 30 days of arrival.
Other: Smoking is not allowed inside any of the rental properties. Please take the time to read the complete rental agreement and contact us if you have additional questions.
Additional services: We are happy to assist you with other arrangements for a worry-free vacation, such as airport transfers, house keeping, tour information and booking, car rental, plus many more services. All of these services can be booked prior to your arrival. We are here to help you relax during your vacation.
